DESCRIPTION

The core release from Raasay was first introduced in 2021, but only officially named “The Draam” in early 2025. The unique six-cask recipe created by Master Distiller, Alasdair Day, remains unchanged: peated and unpeated spirit are matured separately in first-fill rye whiskey casks (65%), virgin Chinkapin oak (24%) and first-fill Bordeaux red wine casks (11%). These six cask types are then married together to create the release. Packaged in a bespoke bottle that features fossils and rocks from the island moulded into the glass. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 46.4%.
