This wine is made exclusively from 100% Pinot Blanc grapes – a mutation of pinot noir, yet grown on steep slopes in the mountainous region of Alto-Adige with a cool, high altitude climate resulting in wines with zingy, fresh, high acidity. The nose exhibits yellow apple, fresh Italian herbs with nuances of citrus. Initially linear in style, the ageing on the lees adds texture and complexity. Pinot blanc is always a great alternative to those looking for a change of pace to pinot grigio.
