It illustrates beautifully what lies in the heart of this exquisite dram. The wilderness of Islay, the meticulous handcrafting, and above all, the patient maturation in used casks sourced carefully from around the world. There were only 214 bottles made of Bowmore 1969 that spent a lifetime of a (particular well-known) prophet in the handpicked cask. This golden liquid from the ‘auldest’ licensed distillery in Islay and first-ever Scotch Whiskey to ever be granted the visit of the (current) Queen of England – Bowmore is genuinely legendary.
