Siesta is the personal project of renowned Argentine winemaker Ernesto Catena, whose biodynamic philosophy and artistic vision shape every bottle. The Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is sourced from high-altitude plots in Mendoza, offering a bold yet refined expression of Argentinas flagship red grape.
Grown in the Uco Valley at elevations exceeding 1,000 metres, the vineyard benefits from intense sunlight, cool nights, and well-drained alluvial soils. Biodynamic farming practices are employed to enhance soil vitality and vine balance, with minimal intervention and respect for natural rhythms.
Hand-harvested grapes are fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels for 1214 months. The approach is gentle and precise, allowing the vineyards character to shine through while building structure and ageing potential.
Deep ruby in colour. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, graphite, and subtle spice. The palate is concentrated and elegant, with firm tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, savoury finish.
Pairs beautifully with grilled steak, roast lamb, hard cheeses, and rich vegetarian dishes.
