Deep stone fruit and nutmeg aromas are complicated by a sexy leesy element. Sweet and fruity but not especially fat or easy, with lovely inner-mouth perfume to its mineral and hazelnut flavors.
Domaine Louis Carillon is a former wine estate in Puligny-Montrachet, widely regarded as one of the finest in the village. It developed a worldwide reputation for its Chardonnay wines principally from that village, despite its modest vineyard holdings Carillon had just one tiny Grand Cru plot in Bienvenues-Btard-Montrachet. In 2010, Carillon’s sons decided to split the 11-hectare (27-acre) estate into separate entities, forming Domaine Franois Carillon and Domaine Jacques Carillon.
