Shiraz sourced entirely from the Sparrows vineyard in Mt. Torrens in the northern Adelaide Hills, a vineyard with which The Other Right works exclusively. The site is comprised of 15 year-old vines, south-facing, planted on sandy loam, red clay, and granite bedrock soils. Not like any Shiraz you’ve ever seen: 10.9% alcohol–blackberries and hay bales, spiced caramel and vanilla beans. This is so far away from the heat-blasted, opaque Shiraz of the ’90s in Oz, and we’re very happy for it. The cuve name ‘Hearts Will Repair,’ per winemaker Alex Schulkin, expresses a hope for bright days to come.
