Tasting Notes: If you had a concentration of barrel aged cherry syrup, this would be it. Thick and potent with lot of berries and cream, espresso, leather and oak.

The palate continues with that intense cherry syrup, supported with heavy, heavy brown sugar, toasted vanilla, and dry oak. While intense, the growing sweetness begins to help it drink below its proof. It slowly draws out more chocolate, fresh ground coffee, and nutmeg tones, not all unlike proofer versions of George T Stagg sans the heavily matured oak.

Make no mistake though, this still carries a good amount of oak and brown sugar and just a waft of smokiness long into the finish.
