The 2022 edition of our RP1 blend captures all the qualities we’ve aimed to combine for years. This year’s blend consists of 40% Marsanne, 40% Roussanne, and 20% Clairette. Though delightful to drink now, it will age beautifully over the next decade.

The nose opens with a little toasty oak and some struck match complexity that quickly subsides andmakes way for the powerful fruit to take charge. Pear, melon and a hint of pineapple are all easilydetected. On the palate, there is more concentration than previous vintages and a slightlymore pronounced viscosity/oily texture. The extra concentration does not detract from thefreshness and therein lies the balance we have been in pursuit of since the first release of this winein 2014.
