A single cask release from the Benrinnes distillery in Speyside, bottled by Adelphi independent bottlers. Distilled in 2011, matured for 13 years in a refill Oloroso sherry hogshead and bottled in 2024. Only 292 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.4%.
Nose: Strawberry jam, cream, leather bookbinding, Sunday roast jus, beef stew, soft sweet licorice; after a while in the glass madeira cake.
Palate: Brighter than the nose with red raspberry, Cointreau, sweet, soft, baked rhubarb pie.
Finish: Walnut skin, rich but a dry finish.
