Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis Potos is made from green agave (Agave salmiana),a variety of agave native to the semi-desert slopes and plains of San Luis Potos.

In its natural environment, the plant is considered mature at around 12 years of age,when it reaches a height of almost five feet. Its growth and rate of maturity dependon factors such as temperature, soil composition and the availability of water.
