DESCRIPTION

Released in 2022, this is the 7th release of Compass Box’s Flaming Heart. Inspired by a rock song, Flaming Heart was first released in 2006, and then only released every few years when CB had the appropriate combination of aged whiskies. This release combines heavily-peated malt whiskies matured in a variety of casks including ex-bourbon barrels and re-charred hogsheads, and malt whisky matured in custom-made French oak barrels. 9,606 bottles were produced. Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at 48.9%.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: A high-energy nose with smouldering peat embers, cigar wrapper and candied ginger.

Palate: Oily, smoky, rich and savoury.

Finish: Lingering smoke.
