The largest Champagne house in France, Mot et Chandon was founded in 1743 by Claude Mot. They produce large volumes of non-vintage wine under the White Star and Brut Imperial designations, however, are best known for their premium brand Dom Prignon.
Aromas are rich and slightly toasted, reminiscent of freshly baked rolls. Bright flavors of cherries and rhubarb fill the mouth with a deep yeasty finish. Bubbles are small and compact, producing a smooth mousse and overall soft mouth feel.
