The 6th release in the super heavily-peated Octomore range from Bruichladdich. 6.1 is produced from barley grown at the Octomore farm on Islay and then peated to 167ppm. Matured for 5 years.Non-chillfiltered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 57%. (Bottle size 750ml)

Nose: Sea spray, wet seaweed and hints of oily iodine. Then peat smoke with cracked black peppercorn, heather flowers and water mint.

Palate: Crisp, malted barley then the sweet oak, giving notes of vanilla, toasted rye bread and walnuts followed by fresh lime, poached apple and pear.

Finish:A warm and thrilling experience long after the glass is empty.
