Orphan Barrel Whiskey distillery has a special mission: finding the rarest, the most exclusive and the most ritzy barrels of Whiskey around. They then lock the Spirits into their bottles all their treasures are hand bottled in Tullahoma, Tennessee and offer limited-edition first-class potions for us to lose our collective minds. It’s a Diageo endeavor and they found some fantastic ultra-fancy Whiskeys in the last few years.

Case in point: Orphan Barrel Muckety-Muck 25 Year Old from the Port Dunday Distillery in Scotland. This rare single grain Scotch gem was matured for a quarter of a century before being bottled at a wholesome 90 proof. Coming out of his cocoon all grown up, its now bursting with caramel and baked sugar right from the nose. The proudly fruity palate brings crisp fruit, toasted oak and hints of butterscotch vanilla, followed by a smooth, loooong finish. Do yourself a favor and sip this one neat or on the rocks.
