A bright, peppery, and fruity-forward Rye Whiskey with Brooklyn roots.

New York Distilling Company opened its doors in 2011. Co-founded by Allen Katz and Tom Potter and located in Brooklyn just across the East River from Manhattan, the distillery is attached to their local bar called The Shanty. This allows them to taste the Spirits they create and sample new formulations live with customers every night. The first product was a classic Gin, but the lineup has been expanded to three Gins, a handful of Rye Whiskies, and flavored Spirits.

Ragtime Rye Single Barrel Flaviar Community Selection is a special Flaviar edition of their popular Ragtime Rye. Allen has hand-selected the cask and bottled it at a perfectly potent 56% ABV. It uses the same mash bill as its sisters in the still house 72% New York rye, 16% corn, and 12% malted barley and the bottle looks like it fell out of an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel about the Prohibition era.
