Roots Spirits is a bold and fresh company founded in 2013, when two Greek brothers Manos and Nikolas decided to go back to their roots, find the best Spirits their history has to offer, and bring them to us in an exciting new form. Four Root liquors are handcrafted and based on ancient herbal remedies dating back to the middle of the 19th century, using natural native ingredients of Greece. In just a few years, Roots potions conquered the best bars in London, Athens, Rome, and Paris. Each Spirit has its own story.

Roots Mastic Diktamo Wild Herbs Liqueur is a bittersweet contemporary amaro, crafted with Greek mountain tea, licorice, and Diktamo, a rare aromatic herb known in Crete as (“erontas,” meaning “love”) for its legendary aphrodisiac properties. Hippocrates prescribed it, Aristotle praised it, and Theophrastus called it a “miracle cure”and these were generally smart guys. This healing and therapeutic herb, along with other wild botanicals from Cretes rugged mountains, creates a beautifully balanced, herbal-forward liqueur.
