There are no hints to be seen as to which distillery on the legendary island is responsible for this single malt, though what we do know is that it’s a brilliant expression which has had 25% of it finished in sherry casks, introducing a helping of dried fruit sweetness to the peaty situation. It’s also been bottled up at cask strength, making for a full-on flavour profile worthy of that additional ampersand.

Nose: Bold notes of petrichor and coastal air, dotted with dried fruit and candied ginger.

Palate: The palate remains densely packed with earthy peat, mocha, jammy sultana, and a smidge of peppercorn.

Finish: Maritime notes of seaweed linger, with wafts of cinnamon sneaking through.
