A new wine in 2024, Florian (like his brother-in-law KP Keller) is on the cutting edge of Rheinhessen growers who are focussed on building lean, acid driven Chardonnays from the complex limestone soils of their home village.
The grapes come from two Grand Cru vineyards80% Westhofen Aulerde aged in Stainless Steel and 20% Westhofen Steingrube aged in older 300l Barrels. A touch of reduction gives way to a laser focussed and precise Chardonnay that delivers far beyond its modest price.
