Upenu Liqueur is a unique alcoholic beverage made from blackcurrants. It is made from the fruits of the blackcurrant bush, which are harvested from the wild or cultivated. The liqueur is made by macerating the fruits in alcohol and then combining them with a sugar syrup to create a sweet and tart flavor. The liqueur has a deep purple color and is typically served chilled or on the rocks.

Built in 1900 by order of the Tsar, Latvijas Balsams in the Baltic city of Riga, Latvia is a magnificent cathedral to vodka. Owned by the S.P.I. Group, owners of Stolichnaya, this is where Russian Stolichnaya vodka has been bottled for over 66 years (since 1948). It is also home to Riga Black Balsam, a traditional Latvian vodka-based herbal liqueur.
