The flagship white of Vergelegen, this blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon reflects the estates most prized vineyard sites. The Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from the windswept slopes of the Schaapenberg, while the Semillon comes from the farms oldest vineyard blocks, rooted in shale and alluvial soils.
Winemaking
Hand-picked and carefully sorted, the grapes were whole-bunch pressed and fermented in a mix of barrels and foudres. The Sauvignon Blanc component received skin contact prior to pressing, while both varieties underwent partial malolactic fermentation. After 10 months in oak of varying ages, the final blend was assembled to create a wine of depth, elegance and precision.

Elegant and refined with mineral overtones and a flinty core, lifted by bright lemon, crushed rosemary and crisp apple. Complex and structured, with a long, polished finish.
Blend
56% Sauvignon Blanc, 44% Semillon
Food Pairing
Excellent with grilled seafood, herb-crusted chicken or creamy risotto.
