WhistlePig Farm Roadstock Rye Whiskey is multi-finished Canadian-sourced whiskey released in July 2021 and aged on the road following the famed Route 66. Composed of a 100% rye mash bill and finished to 86 proof, this estimated 5-6 year old NAS whiskey was originally halved into casks of virgin oak and select Jordan Winery ex-Bourdeaux blended casks (previously housing 78% Cabernet, 12% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec). These casks were then loaded onto a tractor trailer and driven 6,000 miles over Route 66 to Firestone Walker Brewing Co. in Paso Robles, where the rye was dumped into Firestones Imperial Stout/Imperial Blonde Ale/Experimental Ale barrels for final maturation.
