Finally a Wheat Whiskey comes to the Woodford portfolio, and its about time.

There has been distilling on theWoodford Reserve Distillerysite for more than235 years, making it the oldest Bourbon distillery in Kentucky. Now owned byBrown-Forman one of Americas largest wine and spirits companies it has been refitted and set to expand. Since the beginning, the folks at Woodford have been influential in the development and codifying of Bourbon production. In short, they helped invent the spirit as we know and love it today.

Woodford is famous for their Bourbon. But they have produced a Rye and Malt Whiskey before and done a mightygood jobof it, too. The missing piece? Obviously, a Wheat Whiskey. And as you have likely guessed, that is a missing piece no longer.Woodford Reserve Wheat Whiskeyis their newest release at 52% wheat, 20% corn, 20% malt, and 8% rye as formulated by maser distillerChris Morris. And while there is no age statement, we know it qualifies as a Straight Whiskey and is bottled at a tasty 45.2% ABV every drop comprised of solidWoodford quality.
